Supplies will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring favorite line drawings or images. These can be from magazines, ads, books, clip art, etc. Students that were in the Dazzling Designs class can bring their designs to put on the tiles.
In a relaxed atmosphere Donna teaches the basics of the majolica folk art ceramic style. Following a brief history and demonstration of the majolica technique, participants create their own designs to paint on three tiles (extra tiles will be available for $4.00 each). All materials are provided and no previous art experience is necessary. Come prepared to have fun and to be creative in a nurturing environment. No experience necessary. Tiles are to be fired and ready for pick up at the Office for Extended Studies 48 hours after the workshop. Tiles can be shipped for $15.
