The Main St. Mile is a fun race that takes place just before the Cattlemen’s Days Parade. It is timed just right… if you are on a float you will have time to get to it before the parade starts after you run. If you want to watch the parade, the race end is in a prime location to meet your friends and family after they cheer you across the finish line.

While you run, the gathering parade crowd is there to cheer you on. You may even hear the parade announcer comment on your running! Make it silly with tu-tus and cowboy boots. Dress in all pink and join the TETWP crowd as they rally. Gather your friends and come up with zany costumes. Young runners are encouraged to join in! Or, take it serious by challenging your lungs and running legs to a high-altitude sprint. Every participant gets a T-shirt and local prizes are awarded at the finish line. 100% of proceeds go back to our local youth Duster’s Wrestling Club to help off set the costs of the non-profit program.

Our goal is to build up to a giant herd of happy people running down the Main St. of Gunnison! Help be part of a hilarious opportunity while contributing to a good cause. Register before June 10th and you will recieve $5.00 off and your shirt will be ready for the race. After June 10th, registration bumps up to $20.00 and shirts are mailed. Kids 12 and under race for $10.00.

Race Check-in begins at Meadows Park at 8 am – 9:15 am. Meadows park is located on the corner of Spencer and Colorado, just behind Wal Mart. Look for us on the basketball courts.
